Job DescriptionEntry-Level Systems Engineer (Mechatronics / Mechanical Focus)

A leading industrial equipment manufacturer specializing in automated production systems is seeking an Entry-Level Systems Engineer to join its engineering team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers with a strong mechanical foundation who want hands-on experience in machine design, system integration, and industrial automation.

The position emphasizes mechanical engineering fundamentals first, with opportunities to gain exposure to electrical systems, controls, and full system design over time.

Position Overview

The Entry-Level Systems Engineer will support the design and development of industrial production equipment by creating technical drawings, supporting system layouts, and assisting with engineering documentation. This role provides structured learning and growth in both mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines within a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical & Systems Engineering

  • Create and modify engineering drawings and production prints

  • Support mechanical design and system layout development

  • Assist with production line and equipment layouts

  • Review and prepare approval drawings for manufacturing and customer use

  • Support system design documentation and engineering changes

Drafting & Documentation

  • Develop 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD

  • Create production line layouts and equipment configurations

  • Assist with electrical schematics and system documentation

  • Maintain accurate engineering records and design files

Cross-Functional Engineering Exposure

  • Gain exposure to electrical systems and controls design

  • Support multidisciplinary engineering projects

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and project teams

  • Participate in continuous learning and technical development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial equipment or machine design

  • Experience with 2D drafting and AutoCAD required

  • Understanding of production line layouts or system design preferred

  • Electrical background with strong mechanical interest is welcome

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Mechanical engineering background strongly preferred.

Travel

  • Minimal travel initially

  • Occasional travel opportunities may develop as experience grows
