Job DescriptionFinancial Administrator - Conservative Congregational Christian Conference
The Financial Administrator is a staff position of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference. This person reports to the conference minister and, under his supervision, provides financial staff support for the Conference Office.
Qualifications
- Strong Christian Faith
- Needs to be in agreement with our Statement of Faith
- Appreciation for the ministry of the CCCC.
- Exhibit a team spirit in working with other CCCC staff.
- Ability to relate to Conference membership who contact the office regarding giving and/or other financial questions.
- Competency with ACS/REALM Financial module, Microsoft Office, and other technologies used in the office.
Responsibilities
- Manage the process of receivables.
- Record receipts from membership in REALM.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Monitor Vanco online payments and fund codes,
- Monitor bank account for ACH receivables and receipts in REALM.
- Manage the process of accounts payable.
- Prepare monthly and update the weekly accounts payable slate for payment authorization by the Controller and Conference Minister.
- Write checks for accounts payable using REALM.
- Monthly online payment to ENVOY for retirement contributions, enter on the journal list and post on REALM.
- Monitor bank account for automatic payments and post to REALM.
- Maintain a list of journal transactions reflecting automatic payments and other approved fund adjustments posted to REALM.
- Monitor available cash flow and consult with the Treasurer and Conference Minister regarding possible fund transfers.
- Monthly reconciliation of checking account and preparation of reports to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
- Annual journal adjustments for depreciations, error adjustments, or other journal transactions to prepare for annual closing on REALM.
- Annual posting of the yearly budget per fund code on REALM.
- Payroll management – facilitate work with the payroll provider ADP to maintain records of staff hiring, terminations, salary updates, monthly payroll distributions, and annual tax processing.
- Assistance with annual audit – preparation of reports, communication with audit staff.
- Annual destruction of financial documents per schedule.
- Assistance with other office staff for administrative needs as necessary.
- Serve on the Finance Committee – quarterly meetings.
Terms
- This is a part-time, in-person, non-exempt position (8-10 hours per week), with workdays to be established in consultation with the Conference Minister.
- Agreement with all policies and standards of the CCCC Employee Manual.
- Hourly compensation of $25 per hour.
