Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Location: Irvine, CA (100% On-Site)
Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000 plus discretionary bonus

Savage Search Associates has been exclusively engaged to identify a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for a leading medical device company headquartered in Irvine, CA. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact finance role created following the retirement of a 25-year veteran. Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis for multiple entities (domestic and international).
- Partner with leadership to build long-term financial models supporting company strategy and initiatives.
- Provide executive-level reporting and insights on income, expenses, and earnings.
- Oversee financial planning for global operations, including transfer pricing and FX considerations.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and reporting efficiency through tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership, presenting financial insights and recommendations.
- Progressively assume management of direct reports and play a key role in developing team talent.
Candidate Profile
Industry Experience
- Required: Medical Device industry (Class I–III); Class II experience preferred.
- Related experience (biotech, pharma) may be considered.
Technical & Financial Acumen
- 7+ years of progressive finance/FP&A experience in a growth-oriented environment.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow.
- Experience with international entities, transfer pricing, and FX management.
- Proficiency in Tableau and/or Power BI; Dynamics 365 experience highly desirable.
Education & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (online degrees acceptable).
- Executive presence with strong communication skills; confident presenting to C-suite and ownership.
- Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player.
- Long-term mindset and commitment to organizational growth.
Compensation & Details
- Base Salary: $110,000 – $150,000
- Bonus: 3–6% annual bonus.
- Schedule: Standard hours (8 AM–5 PM).
- Location: 100% on-site, Irvine, CA. No hybrid/remote options.
