Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available in Aurora, CO, focusing on elementary students with severe emotional and behavioral needs. This full-time, onsite role runs from ASAP through June 4, 2026, and is structured Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and support to elementary students with severe emotional and behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet student needs
- Collaborate with school staff and families to monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Generalist license
- Experience working with students who have severe emotional and behavioral needs preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors and create positive learning experiences
