Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is ideal for registered nurses with Med/Surg Telemetry expertise interested in a dynamic healthcare environment. Located in Manchester, NH, this contract role offers the chance to deliver high-quality patient care in a 48-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit with an average census of 27.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments.
- Provide orthopedic care and postoperative management.
- Administer IV medications including Lasix drip, heparin drip, IV push metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin (IV/subQ).
- Manage wound care including drain management and VAC therapy.
- Care for patients with NGT/G tubes and parenteral nutrition.
- Central line management involving PICC, HD catheters, and midlines.
- Manage foley, nephrostomy, suprapubic catheters, and ostomy care.
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds to promote patient care excellence.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Skilled in telemetry monitoring and use of medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, automated BP machines, bladder scanners, and vein finders.
- Experience with electronic documentation systems (Altera/Allscripts Sunrise).
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, every other week schedule.
- Comfortable floating to like Medical-Surgical Telemetry units when needed.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts, every other week rotation preferred.
