Job Description
Assist the flavor chemists and Applications lab in creating marketable flavors. Keep lab supplies stocked and the lab organized and orderly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Compounding flavors
- Spray dry
- Reactions
- Stocking raw materials
- Filling sample requests
- Maintaining the Flavor Lab Library
- Develop simple flavor formulas with supervision
- Participation in tasting panels
- Assisting with shipping
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Computer Skills
To perform in this position successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision. Good interpersonal skills. Must be capable of working closely with internal and external clients on time sensitive projects. Requisite talent to plan and organize work. Excellent computer skills using MS applications and other software solutions used by the Regulatory Affairs Department. Motivated to seek and develop streamlined processes to improve departmental efficiency.
Other Qualifications
Transportation certification, knowledge of import/export rules and OHA requirements.
