Summary

Serve as a technical field resource for advanced probing systems and related precision equipment. Provide hands-on installation, maintenance, and support to clients while coordinating with engineering, applications, and sales teams. Act as a liaison between customers and internal groups to ensure equipment reliability, future upgrades, and positive customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain precision probing systems and associated peripherals.

  • Configure electrical, mechanical, and communication interfaces between probing equipment, manipulators, test systems, and host networks.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on probing equipment to maintain performance standards.

  • Execute onsite component repairs; clearly communicate project status, timelines, and technical details to customers.

  • Gather client requirements and relay feedback on device trends and testing strategies to our engineering teams.

  • Produce thorough Field Service Reports (FSRs) and track unresolved issues via enhancement requests or bug reports.

  • Manage multiple customer projects by creating and maintaining tracking tools (e.g., Gantt charts, issue logs); oversee project milestones.

  • Observe system usage within client workflows to identify potential enhancement opportunities.

  • Support pre-sales efforts, including technical demonstrations, trade show representation, and product engagement.

  • Author technical documentation—handoffs, procedures, and feature guides—for internal teams and clients.

  • Travel to customer locations and internal training as necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certification in a technical field plus 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting probing or test systems, or a related bachelor's in electrical or mechanical engineering.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude combined with high mathematical and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in interpreting and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electronic diagrams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience producing technical documentation.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal field training or certification on probing systems or related test equipment.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new technical tools and interfaces
