Job Description

The Role:

You are a creative storyteller with a strategist’s mind. As a Content Strategist at LOXONE, you will lead the production of video and creative content for your market, bringing the brand to life across social media, digital, print, and email. You understand that great content is never just aesthetically compelling; it’s purposeful, audience-aware, and channel-native. You are fluent in the visual and written language of your platforms, and you bring both creative energy and strategic discipline to every piece you produce. You will work in close alignment with the broader Marketing team to ensure your market’s content reflects national strategy while speaking authentically to local audiences, industries, and communities.

Role Highlights:

• You will serve as the primary content producer for your market, owning video and creative content from concept through delivery, including scripting, production, editing, and publishing.

• You will develop and execute market-specific content strategies that address the unique needs, personas, and opportunities of the California market, while remaining tightly aligned to national Marketing priorities.

• You will manage and grow LOXONE’s social media presence in your market, with a deep understanding of how to tailor content format, tone, and cadence to maximize visibility and drive engagement on each platform (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and others).

• You will support the production of written content across mediums including digital articles, print collateral, email campaigns, and social copy, ensuring every piece of content is clear, on-brand, and strategically relevant.

• You will collaborate closely with the broader Marketing team, including the Digital Marketing Manager and regional counterparts, to ensure content is integrated across paid, organic, and owned channels.

• You will bring a test-and-learn mindset to your work, regularly analyzing content performance, extracting insights, and using data to evolve your approach and improve outcomes.

Essential Skills:

• Hands-on video production experience: comfortable owning the full production cycle including concept development, on-location or studio shooting, editing, motion graphics, and final delivery across formats.

• Strong channel fluency: you know what performs on Instagram Reels vs. LinkedIn vs. YouTube vs. TikTok, and you instinctively adapt content strategy, format, and style to each platform’s algorithm and audience expectations.

• Solid writing ability across content types, from social captions and email copy to longer-form digital articles and print materials, with a consistent, compelling brand voice.

• Proficiency with creative production tools including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or equivalent, you can concept and execute without always needing external resources.

• A strategic eye: you approach every piece of content with a clear sense of audience, objective, and where it fits within the broader marketing funnel and campaign calendar.

• Comfort working with data: you can read platform analytics, interpret engagement and reach metrics, and translate performance insights into content decisions.

• Experience with A/B testing content formats, thumbnails, copy, and CTAs to continuously improve performance.

• Hands-on experience with AI tools for content ideation, production efficiency, or personalization workflows is a strong plus.

What Sets Top Performers Apart:

The strongest Content Strategists in this type of role share a distinct combination of traits that go beyond technical skill. We’re looking for individuals who demonstrate:

• Creative conviction with strategic grounding: they have a clear creative POV and the ability to defend it, but they never lose sight of the business goal behind the content.

• Platform obsession: they are genuinely curious about how algorithms work, what formats are gaining traction, and how audiences are evolving. They stay ahead, not behind.

• Speed without sacrificing quality: they can ideate, produce, and publish quickly without cutting corners on craft. They understand the value of timeliness in social content.

• High ownership: they treat their market like their brand. They proactively identify content gaps, pitch ideas unprompted, and take full accountability for the quality and performance of their output.

• Audience empathy: they think deeply about who they’re speaking to: the electrical contractor in San Francisco, the architect in Los Angeles, the building developer evaluating smart technology. They create content that genuinely resonates.

• Collaborative generosity: they share assets, insights, and learnings freely with teammates, understanding that strong regional content lifts the national brand.

• Resilience and curiosity: they treat underperforming content as a learning opportunity, not a failure. They iterate constantly and are energized by the challenge of improving.

Professional Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in content creation, social media, or a related marketing role, with a portfolio that demonstrates video production and multi-channel content work.

• Demonstrated experience producing content across social media, digital, print, and/or email, with examples of market- or audience-specific content preferred.

• Comfortable working independently and managing your own production schedule, deadlines, and content calendar in a fast-paced environment.

• A confident communicator who can present content concepts, explain creative decisions, and receive feedback constructively.

• Passion for brand building and a genuine curiosity about smart building technology, architecture, design, or the built environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, able to manage multiple content formats and deadlines simultaneously without dropping the ball.

Bonus Points:

• You have experience creating content specifically for trade, B2B, or technical audiences, and know how to make complex products feel accessible and compelling.

• You’re familiar with the electrical trades, construction & development, smart home, or building technology industries.

• You have experience with email marketing platforms and understand how to adapt content strategy for email audiences.

• You’ve grown a brand’s social media presence from the ground up and can speak to the content decisions that drove that growth.

• You have experience shooting and producing content on location, at job sites, events, or in the field.
