### **Position Summary**
The Roll or Package Wrapper is responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging rolls or finished products according to customer specifications. This role ensures product quality through careful handling, correct labeling, and adherence to all safety and food safety standards. The position supports production goals, minimizes waste, and contributes to smooth workflow through cross-training in related areas. Strong attention to detail and consistent quality checks are essential.

### **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
#### **Primary Responsibilities:**
* Use all required materials (paper, pallets, wrappers, labels, etc.) according to order layouts and specification sheets.
* Inspect materials for damage, contamination, or defects before packaging; report issues immediately.
* Verify order details (customer, order number, grade, size, address) and double-check dimensions before beginning each order.
* Perform frequent quality checks throughout the process.
* Move products safely to the next stage using approved handling equipment and proper lifting techniques.
* Place ID tags on all products for accurate traceability.
#### **Secondary Responsibilities:**
* Follow all food safety, hygiene, housekeeping, and operational guidelines.
* Ensure all items are properly identified before leaving the area.
* Safely operate lift tables and ensure no objects are underneath before lowering.
* Cross-train in related operational areas to support production and develop skills.
* Perform other duties as assigned by management.

### **Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
* Strong commitment to food safety, quality, and productivity.
* Ability to lift up to **50 lbs. repetitively** (packagers) or **90 lbs.** (roll wrappers), and guide up to **240 lbs.** from a height of 30 inches onto a pallet.
### **Communication & Teamwork:**
* Ability to work effectively within the slitting, finishing, or interfolder areas.
* Must communicate clearly regarding product quality or process concerns.
* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
### **Accountability:**
* Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area.
* Ensure product quality meets company and customer standards.
* Meet productivity expectations (pounds per machine hour, labor hour, etc.).
### **Physical Requirements:**
* Stand for 810 hours per shift.
* Frequent bending, twisting, pulling, and reaching.
* Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motion.
* Ability to maneuver and position heavy rolls or packages using proper equipment and techniques.
### **Work Environment:**
* Manufacturing setting with hot/humid conditions during warmer months.
* Exposure to mechanical equipment, moderate noise, dust, and paper particles.
* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
