Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Travel Clinical Pharmacy Manager Weirton, West Virginia
Assignment Duration: Start ASAP through March 1, 2026, or until a permanent hire is secured
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
Note: Some weeks may fall under 40 total hours. No weekends or on-call coverage is required.

Facility Overview:

• Acute care hospital located in Weirton, WV

• Systems: EPIC (preferred, but open to training), Pyxis (preferred, will train)

• Clinical service areas include: OB, Cardiac Cath Lab, Oncology, ICU, and Skilled Nursing

• Pharmacy Team: 15 pharmacists, 23 technicians

• Technicians assist with IV prep and dispensing no order entry required

Role Description:
This position is focused on leading the clinical pharmacy function. You will work closely with the Operations Coordinator to roll out clinical programs, maintain regulatory and procedural compliance, and support pharmacy education and development. Participation in sterile compounding is expected, and proficiency is required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing P&T Committee activities, AMS efforts, and internal pharmacist education

• Attending WVU sub-committee and eP&T meetings

• Reviewing, updating, and enforcing policies

• Implementing WVU-mandated clinical protocols and formulary changes

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid and active Pharmacist License in the state of West Virginia

• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting as a Clinical Manager or Clinical Pharmacist

• Demonstrated competency in sterile compounding
