Position Overview
A private household in San Antonio seeks two dedicated caregivers to provide specialized in-home pediatric care. We are looking for experienced CNAs OR motivated individuals with a passion for pediatric care who are willing to undergo certification. This is a full-time W-2 position offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and significant career investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct pediatric care under a specialized nursing care plan.
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to the medical team.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Administer medications as prescribed and directed.
- Maintain detailed care logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the family and healthcare providers.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive care environment.
Qualifications
For Certified Applicants:
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric care experience preferred.
For Non-Certified Applicants (Training Track):
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Willingness to become CNA certified through employer-covered training.
- Strong interest in pediatric healthcare and long-term commitment.
General Requirements:
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
- Clear background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and transfer pediatric patients safely.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $35,360 to $40,000 annually ($17.00 to $19.23/hour) based on qualifications.
- Training Investment: 100% employer-covered CNA certification costs for non-certified hires.
- Continuing Education: Up to $2,000 annually in reimbursement for approved credit costs and professional development.

- Paid Time Off: 10 days annually (Year 1), increases with tenure.
- Paid Holidays: 6 major holidays.
- Sick Leave: 5 days annually.

Schedule
- 40 hours per week.
- 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (after initial training; may include rotating shifts).
- Overtime paid at time-and-a-half (1.5x) for hours exceeding 40/week.
