Position Overview
Infinity Systems Engineering is seeking a Training Specialist to become part of the Mission Delta 8 training support team for MILSATCOM training for 4 SOPS, 10 SOPS, and 53 SOPS. The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs, as well as creating technical documentation for operators. This role ensures personnel have the knowledge and resources to perform their roles effectively by producing high-quality instructional materials, conducting training sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness. The specialist collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and leadership to provide training and documentation for Mission Delta 8.
Primary Responsibilities
Training Development & Delivery:
- Design, develop, and implement technical training programs, workshops, and materials.
- Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions for employees, customers, and partners.
- Utilize various instructional methods, including e-learning, hands-on simulations, and classroom instruction.
Curriculum & Content Creation:
- Develop training manuals, job aids, e-learning modules, and other educational materials.
- Collaborate with SMEs to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Continuously update training programs to reflect mission operations.
Technical Writing & Documentation:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance guides, and troubleshooting documents.
- Work closely with engineers and SMEs to gather technical information and translate it into clear, user-friendly content.
- Ensure documentation meets industry standards and is accessible for operators.
- Implement version control and document management best practices to maintain accuracy and consistency.
Training Assessment & Improvement:
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Identify gaps in knowledge and skills, recommending enhancements to training programs.
- Maintain training records and compliance documentation as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to foster a positive working environment and build solid work relationships with teammates and prime contractor. The writer requires the assistance of a broad range of SMEs and must approach all relationships with a service-minded attitude of flexibility and adaptability.
- Air/Space Force Space MILSATCOM Operations or Training experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work independently to deliver accurate training and documentation
- Highly proficient using Share points, Microsoft Office Desktop Suite, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications
- Air/Space Force Space Operations experience in MILSATCOM operations, including experience with training and evaluation standards and practices
- Ability to collaborate positively in a team environment with people of different levels of experience and education and virtually in geographically disperse locations
- Effective analytical skills for scrutinizing and evaluating system operation and interpreting into effective training documentation
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in technical field. Significant, directly applicable experience without a degree will be considered. Aerospace background is a plus.
- 0-10 years of MILSATCOM or training experience.
