Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for our team in Wakefield, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a high volume of transactional work with accuracy. The position will focus on maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and helping ensure timely movement of incoming and outgoing payments.

Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting details, and prepare payments in accordance with established timelines.
• Record customer payments, apply receipts accurately, and help monitor outstanding balances for follow-up.
• Enter financial information into accounting systems with a strong focus on completeness and precision.
• Maintain organized records for payables, receivables, and related documentation to support reporting and audits.
• Reconcile account activity by reviewing transactions and identifying discrepancies that require correction.
• Assist with routine accounting tasks in QuickBooks, including updating entries and reviewing transaction details.
• Communicate with internal teams and external contacts to resolve billing questions, payment issues, and invoice discrepancies.• Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in an accounting or finance environment.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and confidence navigating accounting software on a daily basis.
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience processing invoices and maintaining related payment documentation.
• Ability to organize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage recurring administrative responsibilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for handling payment and billing inquiries.
