Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Austin, Texas. This contract position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy, especially in vendor management and compliance. The role involves managing documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth accounts payable processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process and review vendor documentation for accuracy and compliance, including insurance and tax-related forms.
• Facilitate vendor onboarding by collecting required documents and addressing any follow-ups for missing information.
• Manage vendor account changes, reactivations, and deactivations as needed.
• Code invoices for accounts payable processing and ensure timely submission.
• Provide guidance to vendors and service providers on required documentation and compliance standards.
• Monitor expiring insurance documents and proactively follow up to maintain vendor compliance.
• Conduct audits on vendor records to verify accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Collaborate with transportation managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
• Process IRS Form 1099 and ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
• Support global initiatives and deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external teams.• Strong experience in accounts payable processes and vendor management.
• Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing financial records.
• Familiarity with EFT, IRS W-9 forms, and Form 1099 processing.
• Ability to maintain organized and accurate vendor files and records.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
• Capacity to adapt to dynamic environments and process-driven workflows.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
