Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated Project Planner / Junior Design Support person who wants to grow into a design and engineering role. This position supports our design and manufacturing workflow by reviewing drawings, preparing job packets, and assisting with project coordination.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in mechanical design, manufacturing, or engineering who wants hands-on experience with SolidWorks and real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and review drawings in SolidWorks and PDF format
  • Check prints for completeness, accuracy, and basic manufacturability
  • Organize and prepare job packets for production
  • Track project documentation and revisions
  • Communicate with designers, programmers, and shop personnel
  • Assist with basic project planning and scheduling tasks

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic experience with SolidWorks (or similar CAD software)
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Interest in design, engineering, or manufacturing
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, PDF, file management)
  • Willingness to learn and grow into a design role

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Technical school, engineering coursework, or shop experience
  • Familiarity with machining or manufacturing processes
