Job DescriptionJob Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) delivers direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy to patients referred by physicians, working under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). This role adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy as per physician referrals.
Collaborate on community health initiatives and projects when applicable.
Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
Maintain proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.
Understand and comply with organizational policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training.
Utilize therapy software effectively and accurately.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT).
New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
Familiarity with practices, procedures, and regulations governing post-acute care facilities.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
