JOB SUMMARY
The Environmental Specialist V will serve as a technical resource to the Capital Projects and Wells teams by providing guidance and assistance to the field and coordinating programs to validate compliance with environmental regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provides guidance and assistance to the field.
- Coordinates programs to validate compliance with environmental regulations related to waste disposal and material reuse, waste minimization, wildlife, land, water quality, water use, spill reporting and prevention, and other related environmental issues as required.
- Identifies environmental risks, issues, and mitigation strategies, and communicates with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE).
- Assesses field activities by conducting onsite audits and site visits to validate environmental compliance.
- Represents the Client during agency inspections.
- Maintains contacts and working relationships with local, state, and federal agency personnel.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of experience in Alaska environmental compliance (spills, waste, water use, drinking water, land issues, permitting, field monitoring/study design, wildlife, remediation).
