At Swedberg Wood Products, we’re a family-owned custom cabinet shop that has built a strong reputation for designing and crafting high-quality cabinetry for residential and commercial spaces. Located in Alexandria, we pride ourselves on attention to detail, precision, and expert craftsmanship. We’re looking for a dedicated Cabinet Engineer / Draftsperson who shares our passion for functional, beautiful design and wants to be part of a collaborative, skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare detailed shop drawings and submittals using Cabinet Vision

· Generate accurate material takeoffs for purchasing and production

· Collaborate with designers, draftspeople, and shop team to ensure quality and precision

· Translate concepts and designs into technical plans ready for manufacturing

· Maintain consistency, clarity, and accuracy in all drawings and project documentation

· Field measure jobs prior to start of production

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Experience in cabinetry design, drafting, or a related field (2+ years preferred)

· Proficiency in Cabinet Vision or similar design/drafting software

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

· Self-motivated with a commitment to craftsmanship

Nice to Have:

· Formal training in drafting, engineering, or woodworking

· Familiarity with residential and commercial cabinetry standards

· Experience coordinating between design and production teams

Schedule:

· Full-time (40–45 hours per week)

· 4x10 schedule – No nights, no weekends

· Overtime available
