Seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join a rapidly growing food manufacturing organization. This position is responsible for leading all HR functions at the plant level, supporting a workforce of approximately 250 employees as the facility scales to over 550 employees.

This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role within a high-performance organization (HPO) environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in fast-paced manufacturing settings, preferably food or consumer goods-and thrive in a non-union environment focused on continuous improvement, engagement, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner and member of the site leadership team, coaching and advising operations leaders on people strategy, workforce planning, and performance improvement.

  • Oversee all plant HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and policy compliance.

  • Develop and maintain a positive, non-union culture through proactive communication, engagement, and training initiatives.

  • Lead workforce expansion and HR infrastructure setup as the site continues to grow from 250 to 550 employees.

  • Support the integration of HR policies, systems, and processes to ensure consistency with corporate standards.

  • Design and execute HR programs that drive talent acquisition, retention, and development aligned with business goals.

  • Oversee local HRIS data integrity, reporting, and analytics to support operational decision-making.

  • Manage third-party vendor relationships related to benefits, payroll, and compliance.

  • Lead investigations, corrective actions, and employee-relations initiatives in alignment with company policy.

  • Facilitate performance management, coaching, and development planning to foster a great place to work culture.

  • Coordinate community outreach, employee events, and engagement programs to strengthen site culture.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.

  • 5-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years at the plant or site level within manufacturing.

  • Proven success managing HR functions for growing facilities or greenfield sites.

  • Strong employee relations and non-union/union-avoidance experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement and improve HR processes and policies.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with HR systems (Workday, ADP, SAP, or similar).

Preferred:

  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.

  • Background in High-Performance Organization (HPO) work systems (Tyson, Kraft, Mars, Mondelez, Unilever, etc.).

  • PHR or SPHR / SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.

  • Experience supporting a facility through rapid growth, M&A integration, or new-plant startup.
