Horizon Health in Howard, SD is seeking a Full Time Enrollment Services Specialist who is responsible for verifying patient eligibility, assisting with enrollment, and navigating the complexities of healthcare insurance and assistance programs. You will work with patients to understand their options and ensure proper coverage, particularly for those who are uninsured or underinsured. The Enrollment Services Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients have access to the care they need. They help patients navigate a complex healthcare system and access the resources they are entitled to, often ensuring that low income and underserved populations have access to quality care. This position may be remote in the State of South Dakota or in any Horizon location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sliding Fee Application Review: Assess applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Horizons eligibility criteria.
- Verification: Contact applicants for clarification or additional information, verify income and family size information with supporting documents.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of approval and denied applications, including reasons for denial.
