Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist to provide overnight coverage in a Long Term Care setting. The position offers a consistent schedule of 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off, working from 9 PM to 7 AM, Tuesday through Monday. This contract role is based in Minneapolis, MN, and is ideal for a pharmacist with experience in long-term care and strong leadership abilities to manage overnight pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmacy services during overnight hours, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Supervise and support pharmacy staff during the night shift
- Conduct final verifications of prescriptions (PV2)
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and pharmacy policies
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize medication therapy for long-term care patients
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum of 1 year recent pharmacy experience, preferably in Long Term Care
- Familiarity with Framework software is preferred
- Strong supervisory and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts in a fast-paced environment
