Hackensack, NJ | Permanent | $60,000-$70,000
LHH is working with a growing real estate and property management company based in Hackensack, NJ in their search for a Junior Internal Tax Assistant to join its in-house accounting and tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build hands-on tax experience within the real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation and organization of federal, state, and local tax filings
- Support quarterly and year-end tax provisions and reconciliations
- Maintain tax schedules and documentation for multiple entities and properties
- Partner with accounting and property management teams to gather tax-related data
- Assist with responses to tax notices and support audits as needed
- Provide general administrative and analytical support to the internal tax function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-2 years of tax or accounting experience (internships welcome)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel; exposure to tax software a plus
- Interest in real estate or property management tax preferred
