- Position Overview: The Assembler I assembles valves or valve sub-assemblies, partially or completely.
Key Responsibilities:
- In all actions support Aquestia’s quality policies, safety policies and core company values of Fairness, Honesty, and Integrity.
- Reads job order to gain a thorough understanding of the current assignment and to identify any non-standard requirements. Positions parts accordingly.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, or another fastener.
- Removes small quantities of metal with hand files or power sanders to produce close fit between parts.
- Operates drills, air powered tools and hoists to assist in the assembly process.
- Assures department SOP quality requirements are followed for every order. Maintains quality specifications throughout production runs.
- Maintains accurate production records within the ERP reporting system.
- Functions in accordance with ISO9001 procedures.
- Follows established Lean Manufacturing and 6-S procedures.
- Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close supervision of senior personnel.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- One year minimum related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods throughout the workday.

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and kneel.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment up to 40–50 lbs.

Ability to use hands and fingers to manage tools, components, and small parts with manual dexterity.

Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical activity typical of a production floor.

Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods without assistance.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, or respirators when necessary.

Ability to visually inspect materials or products and read displays, labels, or gauges.
