Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
Join our team as an assembler, where you will play a crucial role in supporting production manufacturing to meet customer deadlines. You will apply your job skills and adhere to company policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks. This position requires acquiring a working knowledge of product flow and understanding the impact of quality. You will work on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment, and operate within established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Read and document instructions for specific jobs each day.
- Perform in-house quality checks to ensure all parts are good, following the policy of 'see something, say something' for defective parts.
- Utilize basic hand tools such as flat head screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and Philips screwdrivers.
- Assist in cross-training focus factory members as instructed.
- Operate within established policies and procedures and seek approval for deviations.
- Understand the functions of each job, which can vary from 1 to 20 functions depending on the work instructions.
Essential Skills
- 6 months of manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in assembly using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and write for documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of production standards and production goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined in manufacturing.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to frequently reach at waist level and occasionally above head.
- Ability to carry up to 10lbs and lift up to 45lbs.
- Ability to use basic hand tools effectively.
- Ability to frequently push, pull, bend, kneel, and/or stoop.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr.
