The salary range for this role is outlined below. Actual pay will be determined based on experience.

$32.00 - $48.00

Position Highlights

Hours: 7pm-7am & 7am-7pm; 72 hours over 2 weeks; Every third weekend and holiday

Overview

This role involves delivering nursing care by creating nursing diagnoses, setting care objectives, defining interventions, and offering physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. You will help them understand patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills while monitoring changes and adjusting care objectives as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care by reviewing physician orders, communicating the nursing care plan, and coordinating with the healthcare team. Offer support to patients, families, and friends while consulting with physicians.
  • Develop nursing care plans by gathering medical histories, examining patients, documenting their physical and psychological conditions, and discussing social factors. Establish nursing diagnoses and care objectives, and define interventions and schedules.
  • Educate patients and their families about healthcare needs by setting care goals, instructing them on conditions, medications, and self-care skills, and providing answers and resources.
  • Assess patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes, reviewing records, and adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy patient care environment by following infection control policies, medication protocols, and legal regulations, while alerting others to potential issues.
  • Document patient care services accurately in patient and departmental records.
  • Maintain patient care equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure availability of patient care supplies by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, and managing orders.
  • Stay updated on nursing competencies as outlined by leadership.

Essential Qualifications

The candidate must be able to work the specified hours and perform essential job functions satisfactorily. This includes having adequate visual acuity and effective communication skills. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Must possess an active license from the Board of Nursing in the state of practice upon hire.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
