The Role:

As a hygienist, you are a key component in delivering quality care and an excellent patient experience. Our office has remained true to individual care, and we have a manageable and patient experience oriented schedule for our hygiene columns- meaning you have the time to connect and foster relationships, and provide excellent results.

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, great with education, and committed to providing and recommending excellent patient care. Core Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide thorough and high-quality dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and patient education.
  • Take and mount dental x-rays (digital only office).
  • Accurately review, update, and maintain patient charts and records.
  • Review and update patient medical history at each visit.
  • Identify and communicate patient’s chief complaint; prepare relevant information for the doctor’s exam.

Operatory & Sterilization Duties:

  • Break down and set up operatory rooms before and after each patient.
  • Follow sterilization and infection control protocols.
  • Ensure hygiene rooms are fully equipped and properly stocked.
  • Manage ordering and inventory of hygiene-related supplies.

Team Collaboration & Office Support:

  • Communicate effectively with doctors, dental assistants, front desk, and other staff.
  • Assist with confirmation calls, scheduling support, or other office tasks during downtime.
  • Help doctors or other team members with procedures if available.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude to support smooth office flow.

Professional Expectations:

  • Stay current with dental hygiene best practices and continuing education requirements.
  • Demonstrate excellent patient communication and chairside manner.
  • Be reliable, punctual, and adaptable to office needs.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and office policies.
