Position: Tool BuilderPosition Type: ContractLocation: Chesterfield, MIPay: $25-$31/hr. (based on experience)Shift: 2nd shift: 4:30pm – 12:30am (Monday – Friday)Benefits:

Position Summary:Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? We have an exciting contract opportunity for a talented Tool Builder with a renowned aerospace company in Chesterfield, MI. This role offers a chance to work on cutting-edge projects with a team of dedicated professionals. Position Responsibilities:

  • Lifts, loads, sorts, and moves materials, supplies, and finished products between storage and work areas, using push-cart, hoist, or dolly.
  • Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies with hand tools, power tools, or bench machines.
  • Inspects, tests, and verifies accuracy of assembled article for conformance to standards, using measuring or testing equipment, or by visual examination. Informs supervisors of any parts or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
  • Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective product parts, using hand tools, power tools, or bench machines.
  • Cleans dust, dirt, and other foreign matter from material or machine surfaces, using cleaning solution, rag, air hose.
  • Measures and marks reference lines and points on parts according to specifications, using template, rule, or marking device.
  • Cuts materials, such as fabric, metal, paper, or wood into specified dimensions or shapes, using cutting machine, scissors, or knife.
  • Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to ensure maximum alertness and preparation
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training
  • Experience with large scale jig and fixture builds
