Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Document Control Clerk to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a critical role in managing and maintaining company documents with a focus on heavy data entry and document indexing. The ideal candidate will be efficient, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-volume data entry and accurately input information into internal systems
- Index, scan, and electronically file a wide range of manufacturing and production documents
- Maintain version control and ensure proper document naming conventions and storage
- Retrieve and distribute documents to internal departments as needed
- Assist in audits by organizing and providing requested documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding document retention
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve document discrepancies or missing information
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to document control and data accuracy
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional administrative or technical training is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in document control or administrative support, preferably in manufacturing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
- Familiarity with document management systems (DMS) is strongly preferred
- Excellent typing skills and data entry speed with high accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly
- Comfortable working independently and meeting tight deadlines
