Private Duty Nurse- RN or LPN
We are seeking compassionate, skilled, and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide comprehensive, around-the-clock in-home care for an elderly male patient recovering from a medical procedure. The nursing team will work in rotating shifts to ensure continuous, high-quality care and monitoring at the patient's private residence. The ideal candidates are experienced in geriatric and post-surgical care, have a calm and patient-centered demeanor, and are comfortable working in a home environment with the patient's family.
The Care Team will work closely with a Care Manager, established cardiologists and neurosurgeons, and physical/rehab therapy nurses.
Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, managing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN or LPN license in the State of Texas and in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; geriatric, post-surgical, or home health experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (AED certification a plus)
- Demonstrated competency in wound care, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring
- Experience assisting patients with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
- Prior private duty or in-home nursing experience
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to identify and respond to changes in patient condition
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Spanish language proficiency a plus
- Clean background check and verifiable professional references
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
