Production Associate Job Description
Overall Purpose of Job
Work as a part of a team to process orders. This can be stocked work orders, sales orders, or sub-assembly work orders. Learn to pack, assemble, and ship pumps with high attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment. This employee will be trained to learn tasks according to current needs.
Essential Functions
- Use of hand and power tools to pack, produce or process finished goods.
- Must be able to read and follow standard work instructions and be taught from current employees.
- Follow work orders or sales orders to process orders.
- Must have basic computer skills and understanding of ERP system and basic shipping software.
- Ability to pack and ship pumps and spare parts via UPS, FedEx and LTL carriers
- Ability to kit multiple pieces and parts with speed and accuracy. Stay focused to ensure correct quantities.
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks as needs change
- Ability to assist other areas as needed
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to stand, sit or bend while performing tedious work.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 65 lbs.
- Ability to communicate and perform basic problem solving skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and take direction from supervisor.
Job Type
- Full Time (40 hours per week)
- 1st Shift Hours, 6:45am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday. No Weekends.
- Overtime as needed to support customer demand
