The Media Planner for the West Region on the Nissan team is able to learn quickly, perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner. You are a vital part of a team that works together to seamlessly deliver innovative, creative and data driven marketing plans for Nissan.
You have begun a career in Media Planning and have experience or familiarity using industry media planning tools: Media Ocean/DDS, Media Tools, Scarborough/MRI Research, etc. You are fluent in mathematical concepts (Excel, pivot tables, charts, multiple formulas, media math) and the ability to translate data into well-articulated ideas. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a collaborative and adaptable work ethic, reflecting a professional and constructive manner and solution-oriented approach.
Position Summary:
- Day-to-day responsibilities include creating flowcharts, media authorizations, buy authorizations, budget reports, media package POVs, daily interaction with Business Leadership team and other media-related reporting plus media research
- Develop solutions to moderately complex problems
- Effectively interact with Nissan Regional marketing staff, internal regional account team and media strategy team
- Develop and implement media campaigns including digital, video, audio, and OOH from pre-planning stages to post-campaign reporting
- Develop and present recommendations, evaluations, POVs and media analyses to Business Leadership and ultimately clients
- Organize, implement and control the day-to-day media planning development process including coordination with Associate Media Planner
- In addition to planning local DMA based media tactics (Linear TV, Connected TV, Radio, Digital Audio, and OOH and Print), you will have experience with planning digital media (Paid Search, programmatic and direct display, social and online video) along with interpreting results data and drawing insights.
- Work with internal digital media team to integrate digital objectives and strategies into overall plans. Have an understanding of digital media best practices and trends.
- Work with the OMD buying team, providing buying specifications, monitor development and review media buys and post-buy analyses.
- Teach and mentor Associate Media Planner, providing one-on-one communications and training sessions to help develop and grow skill set.

Location:
Given the nature of our Media team and the client assigned to this role, we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to Los Angeles, in the near future (first 60 days of employment).
The annual salary range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic location and experience. Other compensation includes relocation costs, if applicable.
