Broken Arrow, OK - Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced Assembler. This senior-level role involves the assembly of industrial equipment and components with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of assembly processes, safety regulations, and the ability to interpret schematic diagrams.
Candidates must have experience assembling large industrial equipment or skid-mounted systems in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Experience working on large-scale assemblies such as compressor skids, pump packages, or similar heavy equipment is strongly preferred. The skids assembled in this role can be up to the size of an 18-wheel trailer and involve installing components such as pipe spools, valves, and other mechanical equipment.
This position is not suited for candidates with only assembly line experience, as the work involves custom equipment assembly rather than repetitive production-line work.
Candidates must also be able to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch.
Essential Duties:
Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines.
Apply 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Utilize working knowledge to assist in the installation of various major components.
Interpret and understand schematic diagrams to install components accurately.
Demonstrate general knowledge of rigging and lifting components.
Operate hoists and other moving/lifting equipment effectively.
Measure accurately using a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
Perform tack welding as required.
Use hand and power tools proficiently.
Collaborate with the team to improve work processes within the department.
Complete safety, production, and quality forms as needed.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
Occasionally use a computer and office equipment, such as copiers, printers, and telephones.
Frequently operate heavy equipment, including cranes, welding tools, and scissor lifts.
Participate in group discussions and team meetings.
Maintain equipment and ensure clean work areas.
Engage in continuous improvement activities.
Read and understand General Arrangement and P&ID drawings.
Preferred Education:
High school diploma or 2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
Vocational or technical education is a plus.
Required Experience & Skills:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must meet all OSHA regulations.
Forklift certification required.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Proficient knowledge of forklift and man lift operation.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for 10% of the time.
Frequent inspection of equipment, climbing stairs or ladders, and maintaining balance without assistance.
Must be able to respond to coworkers and emergency cues/alarms, in person and via mobile devices.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Capable of working from heights above 4 feet.
Willingness to work in outdoor conditions, including all weather and non-air-conditioned environments.
Ability to work in a loud environment.
Requires constant movement, stooping, kneeling, and crouching in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including fire-retardant clothing, helmets, face shields, hearing protection, safety goggles, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and fall protection as applicable.
