Overview:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting organizational financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and operational analysis. This role partners cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Operations, Clinical Leadership, and Executive Leadership to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
The Financial Analyst will analyze financial performance, develop models, identify trends, evaluate operational efficiency, and support system implementations and financial modernization initiatives
Essential Responsibilities
Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Perform variance analysis and develop financial models to support decision-making.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, and operational performance metrics.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and executive-level summaries.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reporting tools.
- Partner with operational leaders to evaluate financial impact of initiatives.
- Assist with financial system optimization and data integrity.
- Support audit, compliance, and internal control processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or other related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
- Healthcare of FQHC experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge or training regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting and data management packages such as (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), Tableau, and Microsoft Access
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling)
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct, Blackbaud, Oracle, etc.)
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Understanding of revenue cycle metrics (preferred)
