An experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for evening and night shifts at a Level 3 Trauma Center located in Berkeley, CA. This facility is a STEMI and Stroke Receiving Center with a 31-bed emergency department that includes five resuscitation bays. The average daily patient volume exceeds 100, with approximately 15% pediatric cases, providing a dynamic and fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts
- Shift start times vary between 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM
- Contract position with attention to requested start dates; candidates with start dates more than two weeks after the requested date will be declined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric trauma patients.
- Utilize advanced skills in trauma assessment and intervention.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Participate in ongoing education and maintain certifications.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (ENPC preferred).
- Experience in trauma nursing with solid pediatric knowledge.
- Ability to adapt to variable shift times and high patient acuity.
