Job Description:
-Receive, unload, unpack, sort, store, count, and distribute supplies, and equipment received via UPS, FedEx and Common
Carrier/Freight Carrier.
-Load and unload trucks
-Distribute, move and pick-up existing laboratory, office and shop equipment and supplies.
-Extensive use of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, appliance hand trucks, flat carts, four-wheel dollies and
equipment lifts to complete the tasks above is required.
-Take physical inventories of equipment and supplies and maintain inventory records.
-Enter data and information into and retrieve data and information from computerized systems.
(Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred but not required.)
-Operate various communication systems such as telephones and computers; and keep records of such communications.
-Perform routine processing activities, including checking forms, packing slips and bills of lading for completeness and
accuracy.
-Perform various clerical or office assistance tasks such as scanning documents and verifying accuracy of data.
-Operate and perform basic cleaning and maintenance on equipment.
Looking for all or the best combination of the following experience, in this order:
Experience in lab or medical field setting is preferred
Using material moving equipment such as fork-lift, pallet jack, appliance hand truck, flat carts, etc.
Delivering mail, packages and equipment using material moving equipment
Perform routine processing activities, including reviewing packing slips and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy.
Take physical inventories of equipment and supplies and maintain inventory records.
Loading and unloading trucks
General computer and scanner operation
Data entry
Additional Information:
Hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours per day. Staff will be allowed to work up to 1875 hours (50 weeks) per state fiscal year. Overtime is not permitted. We will not pay for state and federal holidays, or days when the Governor closes state offices due to inclement weather.
