Transport Driver (Light Construction Equipment)
South Florida Caterpillar dealership is seeking a Transport Driver for our Davie location. The applicant chosen must have a valid CDL Class A Florida driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
This position requires some physical activity, which may include moderate lifting, steps climbing, equipment operation, and some heavy lifting. Safety glasses and back support must always be worn. Proper PPE must also always be worn. When not performing transport duties, will perform yard duties including general upkeep of the rental fleet equipment and rental yard area at the Davie location. Minimum of 8-hour shifts. Have good communication skills and have fork-lift certification. High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities include: Perform visual inspection on items IN/OUT, report damages to Coordinator, tag / un tag equipment when returned / delivered- follow tag procedure, perform rental return inspections, fuel all equipment,
always keep yard clean and organized, maintain vehicle free of clutter and garbage, wash truck weekly, inspect tires/ drive systems/ trailer daily, report damages to coordinator, keep records of maintenance,
schedule as needed, keep records of yearly inspection/ certifications, maintain a clean workstation, keep loading area clean and clear, other responsibilities may be considered based upon customer needs.
