JOB SUMMARY
The Recreational Gymnastics Supervisor is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the General Manager/Gymnastics Coordinator. The Recreational Gymnastics Supervisor is responsible for the planning, development, and oversight of recreational gymnastics programs. This position designs and implements lesson plans and curriculum for tumbling and obstacle course training programs, as well as special events, ensuring age-appropriate curriculum progression, skill development, and participant safety.
PRIMARY DUTIES
The Supervisor works as part of a team to recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise gymnastics staff, providing ongoing support, evaluation, and professional development to maintain high-quality instruction and customer service standards.
In addition to administrative and supervisory responsibilities, the position includes coaching approximately 15 hours per week, delivering engaging and structured classes that promote strength, coordination, and confidence in participants.
The Recreational Gymnastics Supervisor ensures a safe, positive, and well-organized environment for participants and staff while supporting the overall goals and operations of the facility.

The Oak Lawn Park District, incorporated in 1944, has a long and proud history of serving the recreational needs of our 56,000 residents through a wide variety of programs and services. We operate under the state tax cap as a municipal corporation, meaning we are our own taxing body. Overseen by a Board of five elected officials, the district manages 34 parks and facilities covering over 280 acres.
In addition, we manage a Special Recreation Cooperative that provides recreational programs and services to individuals with disabilities in nine municipalities.
