McIntosh Box and Pallet is seeking a Class B Truck Driver to join our team in Buffalo NY! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
Pay: $22 based on experience
Hours: Day Shift
As a CDL B Truck Driver you will help ensure our product is delivered in a safe and timely manner. You will have the opportunity to build long standing relationships with our customers during deliveries.
Class B Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
- Load and unload cargo
- Properly track and document activity log
- Report any issues or incidents to your manager
- Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle
- Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
- Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
- Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
- Make safety a priority at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
- Commercial driver's license
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong work ethic
- 2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- A background check and drug test are required
