Base is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to diagnose and repair field issues, rework installs to pass inspections, train new install crews, and inspect installs for quality control for Base's battery fleet in Austin.
Responsibilities:
All in-field activities include:
- Installing home backup batteries
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing field failures
- Inspection failure repairs
- Onboarding and facilitating training of new installer crews
- Meeting with inspectors and AHJs
- Sit for inspections
- Understand Base hardware, general electrical principles, NEC Codes
- Respond to on-call duties for emergent electrical issues during nights and weekends on a scheduled, rotational basis
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant work experience required
- Residential Wireman or Journeyman
- Experience with battery back up systems, EV Chargers, or whole home generators
