POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is instrumental in elevating welding standards, ensuring safety compliance, and fostering technical excellence throughout our manufacturing operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Design and deliver welding training programsfornew hires, apprentices, and experienced welders across multiple facilities.
- Instruct on various weldingtechniquesincluding MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
- Develop curriculum and training materialsaligned with industry standards, company procedures, and certification requirements.
- Evaluate trainee performancethrough practical assessments and written exams, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocolsand promote best practices in welding operations.
- Maintain welding equipment and training facilities, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teamsto align training with production needs and quality standards.
- Support certification processessuch as AWS, ASME, or company-specific qualifications.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
- Prior experience in training, mentoring, or instructing welders.
- Proficiencyin multiple welding processes and techniques.
- Strong understanding of welding codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Educator (CWE) certification is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
- High school diploma or GEDrequired; technical degree or welding certification preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial settingor equivalent experience with training and curriculum designin an industrial environment
