Key Responsibilities:
Perform Mammography Examinations: Carry out breast imaging exams with a focus on obtaining diagnostic-quality images following established protocols.
Operate and Maintain Equipment: Ensure mammography equipment is functioning correctly, performing routine checks and maintenance as needed.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for mammograms by explaining procedures, addressing questions, and easing concerns to create a comfortable and calm experience.
Patient Positioning: Position patients effectively and use appropriate imaging techniques to obtain clear, accurate breast images.
Evaluate and Adjust Images: Assess image quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure that the images are diagnostically accurate.
Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with radiologists and physicians to review results and assist with any follow-up or further evaluation.
Maintain Records: Keep detailed and accurate patient records, including imaging protocols, findings, and follow-up recommendations.
Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and patient safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for all.
Continuing Education: Stay current with the latest advancements in mammography technology and techniques through ongoing professional development.
What We’re Looking For:
BLS Certification (required)
ARRT Certification (required)
2+ years of experience as a Mammography Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting.
