Job DescriptionThe Floral Operations Associate supports the daily operations of the flower shop by handling product intake, flower care, inventory management, and general shop maintenance.This role ensures flowers are properly processed, stored and available for sales staff, while maintaining a clean, organized and efficient workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming floral and supply deliveries
- Condition, process and properly care for fresh flowers and greenery
- Maintain floral cooler, including organization and cleanliness
- Manage inventory, stock rotation and storage organization
- Organize basement areas, shelves and workspaces
- Assist with floral displays and merchandising as needed
- Support sales staff with product preparation and restocking
- Perform general cleaning duties throughout shop
- Manage garbage and recycling removal
- Complete basic handyman and maintenance tasks as required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes
- Ability to carry items up and down stairs regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, reach and perform repetitive tasks
Qualifications:
- Reliable, organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small business environment
