Lamoille Health Partners is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic team. As an integral member of our patient-centered healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse population in a fast-paced community health center setting.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications, including injections and vaccinations.
- Collect and document patient vital signs and medical history.
- Perform basic nursing assessments and triage patient calls.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Assist with minor procedures, such as wound care and dressing changes.
- Clinical Support:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Prepare and maintain patient charts and medical records.
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of Vermont
- BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and diverse environment
- Preferred:
- Experience working in a community health center or other primary care setting
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)
