Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Inventory Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Savanah, Georgia. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate inventory management and maintaining efficient operations within our wholesale distribution environment. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to help optimize stock levels and streamline processes.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate inventory records using specialized software and database systems.
• Conduct regular physical counts to ensure system data aligns with actual stock levels.
• Process incoming shipments by verifying invoices and ensuring order accuracy.
• Organize storage areas to promote efficiency and quick item retrieval.
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies to the appropriate department.
• Collaborate with sales and supply teams to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations while handling inventory and equipment.
• Manage the documentation and processing of returned goods.
• Communicate with suppliers and transport companies to coordinate deliveries.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, procedural efficiency, and supply chain updates for management review.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Strong organizational and clerical skills, including the ability to create charts and graphs.
• Familiarity with Cerner Technologies, Epic Software, and ADP Financial Services.
• Solid understanding of auditing processes and procedures.
• Ability to handle inbound calls and provide excellent communication with vendors and team members.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices for warehouse operations.
