Medical Director – Substance Abuse Treatment Center

We are a leading substance abuse treatment center in Sacramento, dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to individuals battling addiction. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to support clients on their journey to recovery.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical Director to lead our clinical team. This full-time, in-person role involves overseeing medical services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering a collaborative environment to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight: Supervise and support medical staff in delivering evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and The Joint Commission (TJC) services. (California Health Care Services)

Policy Development: Develop and implement medical policies and procedures to enhance patient care.

Training & Education: Provide ongoing education and training to staff on best practices in addiction medicine.

Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes to ensure continuous improvement.

Collaboration: Work closely with clinical directors, counselors, and administrative staff to coordinate patient care.
Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution. We are specifically looking for a Psychiatrist.

Licensure: Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in California.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in addiction medicine or related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Certifications: Board certification in Addiction Medicine preferred.

Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Compensation
$150,000 (part time) - $300,000
