Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturing company in Itasca, IL, seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to support custom machine builds used in industrial equipment and data center applications. This is a hands-on role machining one-off, custom parts that go directly into major assemblies. This is perfect for someone who takes pride in precision craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate Bridgeport-style manual mills
- Drill and tap thick steel and aluminum components using a drill chuck and hand taps
- Machine custom, one-off parts for large equipment builds
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings
- Verify part accuracy using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
- Deburr, prep, and finish machined components
- Troubleshoot machining setups and ensure tight tolerances are met
- Support other departments when needed
What You Bring
- 3+ years of manual machining experience
- Strong experience with Bridgeport or similar manual mills
- Ability to drill, tap, and machine thick metals accurately
- Skilled in producing custom components (not production machining)
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work in a shop environment and support overtime as needed
