Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Hoboken, New Jersey. In this long-term contract role, you will serve as a vital link between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient scheduling processes. This position is ideal for someone passionate about delivering exceptional support in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities:
• Handle inbound calls and provide outstanding customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient referrals using healthcare portals and systems.
• Process insurance authorizations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Maintain patient charts and update information in electronic medical record systems such as Epic.
• Distribute faxes and organize materials related to clinical trial operations.
• Support hiring processes and onboarding for new staff members when necessary.
• Coordinate with offshore teams and utilize tools like R Code for data management.
• Assist patients with navigating HealthCare.gov and TRICARE portals.
• Communicate fluently in Spanish to assist diverse patient demographics.
• Ensure accuracy in all administrative and operational tasks related to patient care.• Proven experience in customer service within a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in scheduling systems, patient portals, and electronic medical records like Epic.
• Strong understanding of insurance processes, including authorizations and referrals.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish and English.
• Familiarity with healthcare procedures and regulations, including TRICARE and HealthCare.gov.
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data management tools like R Code.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of internal medicine practices and clinical trial operations is a plus.
