Physician Assistant – Orthopedic/Spine Surgery

Location: NYC Metro Area (with NJ locations)

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, no nights or weekends)

Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 per year

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Physician Assistant to join our orthopedic/spine surgery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic principles, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Evaluate and manage patients pre-op, intra- op and post-operatively.

- Surgical Assistance:

  • Provide assistance during surgical procedures, including closures.
  • Perform first assist duties as directed by the surgeon.

- Patient Education:

  • Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, recovery plans, and rehabilitation.


- Collaboration:

  • Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions.

- Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation in compliance with practice policies.

Qualifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York and New Jersey (or ability to obtain both).
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Surgical experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in orthopedic and spine care preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
