A dynamic opportunity is available for qualified Speech-Language Professionals to provide essential services within a K-12 school setting in Richmond, VA. This contract position spans the full school year, offering a meaningful role supporting childrens communication development across pediatric and educational environments.
Ideal candidates will hold certifications and experience in one or more of the following areas: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), healthcare-focused SLP, pediatric SLP, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLP, as well as Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) with experience in school or healthcare settings. Candidates should have a passion for working with children and an understanding of how to tailor interventions to diverse learning needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments to identify individual student needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to support communication skills
- Collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare providers to monitor progress and adjust therapies
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with all school policies and regulatory requirements
- Providing support and education to students, staff, and families to foster effective communication strategies
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid credentialing appropriate to the role (SLP - CCC, CFY, or SLPA certification)
- Experience delivering speech-language services in school and/or healthcare pediatric settings
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environment and regulatory standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
