A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in La Porte, Indiana, serving 8th-grade students within an inclusive special education setting. This contract position runs through May 2026, starting as soon as possible, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours over five days, from 8:35 AM to 4:10 PM.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 24 students, one-third of whom have already been conferenced for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will deliver tailored instruction and support aligned with IEP goals and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective inclusive services.
Qualifications for this role require a valid Indiana Special Education Teacher certification. Experience working with middle school-aged students in a special education environment is highly valued.
